Your registration pathway

1. Onboarding and requirements gathering. We collect your service details (provider entity, manager, service model, office location) and give you a simple checklist of the items only you can obtain — PVG scheme membership, SSSC registration for your manager, office lease, insurance, financial evidence.
2. Stage 1 delivery — your application pack. We prepare your full document set aligned to the Health and Social Care Standards and complete your Care Inspectorate application with you — in as little as 3–5 working days once requirements are met.
3. Submission. We check everything and support your application through the Care Inspectorate’s digital portal.
4. Stage 2 delivery — assessment and interview support. Additional documents the Care Inspectorate may request, preparation for the registration interview including a question-and-answer pack, a 2-hour mock interview with written feedback, follow-up with the Care Inspectorate on your behalf, and appeal support if your application is challenged.
5. Registration decision. You receive your certificate of registration and can begin delivering care.

• Full care-at-home and housing support policy pack aligned to the Health and Social Care Standards — adult support and protection, medication, moving and assisting, recruitment (Safer Recruitment), complaints, infection prevention and control, records and confidentiality, and more
• Service user guide

• Business plan and financial forecast support
• Care Inspectorate application forms — completed with you

Stage 2 — assessment, interview and follow-up

• Additional documents the Care Inspectorate may request while assessing your application
• Registration interview question-and-answer preparation pack
• 2-hour mock interview with written feedback
• Follow-up with the Care Inspectorate on your behalf until a decision is made
• Appeal support if your application is challenged

Timescales and payment

Your Stage 1 document pack is delivered in as little as 3–5 working days once your requirements are met. The Care Inspectorate’s own assessment timescales are set by the Care Inspectorate and are outside our control.

You can pay in two stages: 50% to begin (Stage 1 document pack) and 50% at submission stage, which covers your Stage 2 documents, interview preparation, mock interview and Care Inspectorate follow-up.

What we need from you

Some items can only come from you, and your application cannot progress until they are ready. These are your responsibility and outside our control: PVG scheme membership, SSSC registration for your manager, office lease and the landlord’s consent, insurance quotes or certificates, ICO registration, and financial or bank evidence. We give you a checklist for all of these on day one and guide you through each step.
