Your registration pathway
- Onboarding and requirements gathering. We collect your setting details (provider entity, nominated individual, manager, premises, age ranges, capacity) and give you a simple checklist of the items only you can obtain — enhanced DBS checks, GP health declarations, qualification and paediatric first-aid certificates, premises lease and planning position, insurance, food business registration.
- Stage 1 delivery — your application pack. We prepare your full EYFS-aligned document set and complete your Ofsted application with you — in as little as 3–5 working days once requirements are met.
- Submission. We check everything and support your application through the Ofsted portal.
- Stage 2 delivery — assessment and interview support. Additional documents Ofsted may request, preparation for the registration visit including a question-and-answer pack, a 2-hour mock interview with written feedback, follow-up with Ofsted on your behalf, and appeal support if your application is challenged.
- Registration decision. You receive your certificate of registration and can open your setting.

Timescales and payment
Your Stage 1 document pack is delivered in as little as 3–5 working days once your requirements are met. Ofsted’s own assessment timescales are set by Ofsted and are outside our control.
You can pay in two stages: 50% to begin (Stage 1 document pack) and 50% at submission stage, which covers your Stage 2 documents, visit preparation, mock interview and Ofsted follow-up.
What we need from you
Some items can only come from you, and your application cannot progress until they are ready. These are your responsibility and outside our control: enhanced DBS checks, GP health declarations, qualification and paediatric first-aid certificates, premises lease and planning position, insurance quotes or certificates, food business registration, ICO registration, and financial evidence. We give you a checklist for all of these on day one and guide you through each step.
