Complete CQC registration support for new ambulance services — patient transport services (PTS), event medical cover and emergency ambulance providers. We prepare your full application document pack, support your submission, and coach you through the registered manager interview — staying with you until CQC makes its decision.

At a glance

  • What you get: every policy and form CQC requires for an ambulance service application, plus the full “keep ready” document set, interview preparation, a 2-hour mock interview and follow-up with CQC.
  • How fast: your document pack is delivered in as little as 3–5 working days once your requirements are met.
  • How you pay: in two stages — 50% to begin, 50% at submission stage.

Your registration pathway

  1. Onboarding and requirements gathering. We collect your service details (provider entity, registered manager, service model, vehicles, base location) and give you a simple checklist of the items only you can obtain — DBS checks, premises lease and landlord consent, vehicle details, insurance quotes, ICO registration, financial evidence.
  2. Stage 1 delivery — your application pack. We prepare your full set of CQC application policies and complete your application forms with you, in as little as 3–5 working days once requirements are met.
  3. Submission. We check everything and support your provider and registered manager applications through the CQC provider portal.
  4. Stage 2 delivery — assessment and interview support. The full set of “keep ready” documents CQC may request during assessment, your registered manager interview Q&A pack, a 2-hour mock interview with written feedback, follow-up with CQC on your behalf, and appeal support if your application is challenged.
  5. Registration decision. You receive your certificate of registration and can begin operating.

Stage 1 — your application document pack

Every document CQC requires from all provider applicants, written specifically for your ambulance service:

  • Complaints policy
  • Consent policy and procedure
  • Equality, diversity and human rights policy
  • Governance and quality assurance policies
  • Infection prevention and control policy
  • Medicines management policy (including transportation of patient medication)
  • Recruitment policy
  • Safeguarding policy and procedure
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Financial viability statement guidance (required for most ambulance applicants — completed with your accountant)
  • Provider and registered manager application forms — completed with you

Stage 2 — assessment, interview and follow-up

CQC tells ambulance applicants to keep a further set of documents ready on request — if you cannot produce them when asked, your application may be delayed. We prepare all of them for you:

  • Booking policy
  • GDPR and data protection arrangements
  • List of risk assessments
  • Medical emergency policy
  • Self-audit and national audit submission process
  • Procurement policy
  • Records management policy
  • Restraint policy
  • Safe handling of bariatric patients policy
  • Staff training matrix
  • Staffing structure
  • Vehicle details schedule
  • Waste management policy

Plus:

  • Registered manager interview question-and-answer preparation pack
  • 2-hour mock interview with written feedback
  • Follow-up with CQC on your behalf until a decision is made
  • Appeal support if your application is challenged

Timescales and payment

Your Stage 1 document pack is delivered in as little as 3–5 working days once your requirements are met. CQC’s own assessment timescales are set by CQC and are outside our control.

You can pay in two stages: 50% to begin (Stage 1 document pack) and 50% at submission stage, which covers your Stage 2 documents, interview preparation, mock interview and CQC follow-up.

What we need from you

Some items can only come from you, and your application cannot progress until they are ready. These are your responsibility and outside our control: DBS checks, premises lease and the landlord’s consent, vehicle purchase or lease details, public and employer liability insurance quotes or certificates, ICO registration, and your financial viability statement and bank evidence. We give you a checklist for all of these on day one and guide you through each step.
